New Normal is HARDThe memories we have of our children or our own childhood are vastly different from the memories today's children will have. Many children we serve are dropped off Before School and we pick them up After School; meaning children are away from family 10-11 hours a day. We need to hire extra staff to create a place that feels more like home! Supporting families has been the goal of EGCS for 20 years, but over those years the needs of families have changed!

Anxiety & Acting OutIt wasn't just the adults who felt it. One new kindergartener stands back with tears welling up; but another kindergartener is unable to sit still and focus. The year 2020 increased our anxiety and children were not immune. While rapid changes weigh down children everywhere, we at EGCS aspire to ELEVATE our after-school students with programming that decreases stress and promotes positive mental health.
